Google and AI Visibility for Language Schools, Driving Schools and Training Centres

Education is the fastest-deciding segment we serve: in the last 30 days a third of the courses and schools that contacted us became clients. The reason is simple: course seekers decide online and school owners know it. This article summarises what we measured while working with a driving school and a language school; names will be published on our references page with the clients' permission.

Where does a course seeker look?

Three places: Google Maps ("English course near me"), Google search ("district + course type + price") and, increasingly, AI assistants ("recommend a children's English course in Manavgat"). On Maps the listing category, review count and rating decide; in search a page containing the district and course type is needed; in AI the answer is built from sources the model finds when it searches the web.

What we measured

For a language school we measure 16 real questions (English, German, IELTS, exam prep, children and adult groups, with the district name) in AI every day. The result moves day to day: within the same week there are days the school is mentioned in 5 of 16 questions and days it is mentioned in 12. That is why we report a band instead of a single number and split the missed questions in two: questions where the model did not search at all (content cannot influence these) and questions where it searched but did not mention the school (the intervention area).

Which sources does AI take courses from?

In the first week of daily measurement (4 runs, 64 question-answers) the cited sources fell into three groups: Ministry of Education public and private course lists, the school's own website (especially contact and programme pages) and directory sites (course maps, language guides, private tutoring platforms, service marketplaces). The competing school was mentioned more often because it appeared both on its own site and in those directories. So GEO work for a school largely means being listed correctly in the right directories and opening programme-based pages on the site.

What to do in the first 30 days

First, the Maps listing: the right primary category (Language School, Driving School), a programme-based service list, hours, photos and a review flow. For our driving school client the listing was held by a third party and the ownership transfer alone took four days; we ask on day one whose name the listing is in. Second, programme pages on the site: a separate page for each course type, FAQs and structured data. Third, directory listings: the school's name, address and programmes appear consistently in the lists AI cites. Fourth, weekly measurement: which questions mention the school and which sources changed is visible in a panel.

What we do not promise

No ranking guarantee and no "the AI will recommend you" guarantee; Google and the models decide. What we promise is measurement and regular intervention: measured every week, what was done in a down week is written, a band-style report arrives at month end. Prices are on our site: Maps listing setup is a one-time fee, monthly management and AI visibility tracking are monthly packages, no lock-in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this necessary for a small school?

Course seekers search by district and programme name; a small school listed correctly in the right directories and on Maps can appear in the same list as a large chain. Measurement is free, so you see on day one whether it is needed.

Are AI visibility and the Maps listing the same thing?

No. The Maps listing is for Google's local results; AI visibility is being mentioned in the answers of tools like ChatGPT. They feed each other, but they are measured separately.

How long until results?

Maps edits take 1-3 working days, ownership transfer 3-7 days if a third party holds the listing; meaningful change in AI visibility usually shows in 4-8 weeks. The first measurement is shared the same day.
