Embedded Systems
We write the firmware for your board, test it on real hardware and hand it over ready for the field
We develop embedded software (firmware) for devices built on ESP32, STM32, AVR (Arduino) and Raspberry Pi: sensor reading, display and keypad interfaces, connectivity over Wi-Fi, BLE, MQTT or LoRa, and machine data collection over Modbus. The software does not stay in a simulator; the prototype runs on a real board on the bench, then gets tested in the field. We can also connect the collected data to a web dashboard or your ERP system.

Sound familiar?
Where embedded projects most often get stuck.
"The prototype works on the bench and freezes in the field"
Power fluctuations, weak Wi-Fi, long cables or unexpected sensor values; problems that never show on the bench appear in the field.
"We cannot get data out of our machines"
Production counts, downtime and temperatures are written down by hand; the PLC or machine signals are not connected to any system.
"The developer left and nobody knows the code"
Touching undocumented firmware is risky; even a small change can stop the device.
"The device measures, the data goes nowhere"
The board reads a value and shows it on a display; there is no remote monitoring, alerting or reporting.
What we do
From the software on the board to the system that uses the data.
Embedded software (firmware)
Firmware in C/C++ for ESP32, STM32 and AVR (Arduino), with FreeRTOS task and timing management where needed; services and applications running on Linux on Raspberry Pi.
Sensors, displays and keypads
Reading and filtering sensors such as temperature, humidity, pressure, current and distance (I2C, SPI, UART, ADC); user interfaces with TFT/LCD displays and keypads.
IoT connectivity
Data from device to server over Wi-Fi, BLE and MQTT; LoRa as an option where long range and low power are needed. Where needed, on-device buffering is designed in so data is not lost when the connection drops.
Industrial data collection
Collecting data from PLCs and devices over Modbus RTU/TCP and from machines via digital and analog signals; sending values such as production count, downtime and temperature to a web dashboard or ERP system.
Prototyping, testing and calibration
First bring-up of the prototype board, bench testing on the real board, sensor calibration and field trials.
Over-the-air updates (OTA)
Where the board and connection allow it, the firmware of a device in the field is updated remotely, without plugging in a cable.
Documentation and handover
Pin map, build and flashing instructions, test notes; the handover scope is set out in writing in the quote.
How it works
Every step is in writing, and the prototype is tested on a real board.
- 1
Discovery
We talk through what the device should do, where it will run and where its data should go.
- 2
Specification and pin map
Board, sensors, connectivity and power decisions are written down; the pin map and acceptance criteria are agreed. The quote is based on this document.
- 3
Prototype firmware
The first firmware is written and the core functions are brought up one by one.
- 4
Bench test
The software runs on the real board; sensor values and connectivity are tested and bugs are fixed.
- 5
Field test
The device is tried in its own environment; calibration and fixes are made based on the logs.
- 6
Handover
Firmware, documentation and, where needed, the remote update setup are handed over.
Who it is for
Businesses with hardware, or with a hardware idea.
Manufacturers
Workshops and factories that want to collect production count, downtime and fault data from their machines automatically.
Product start-ups
Teams that want to turn a device idea into a working prototype.
Owners of existing devices
Companies with a device that needs a firmware update, remote monitoring or a new feature.
Why us
Tested on the real board
Software is not only tried in a simulator; the board runs on the bench and we report what we actually tested.
One team from device to dashboard
The firmware on the board, the server the data flows to, the web dashboard and the ERP sit with one team; responsibility does not get lost between parts.
Progress in writing
Specification, pin map and test notes stay in writing; you can see what was finished and when at any time.
Not included
We say it up front so there are no surprises.
- Cost of hardware components, sensors and development boards
- Printed circuit board (PCB) design, assembly and series production (discussed separately if needed)
- CE, EMC and similar certification testing
- On-site electrical, cabinet and machine installation work
- Third-party subscriptions such as servers, cloud, SIM cards and data lines
