Website Costs in 2026: Why Quotes Range From $150 to $5,000
The honest answer to "how much does a website cost" is a range. This guide explains where the spread comes from, which end makes sense for which situation, and how to compare quotes properly. Our own prices are at the end — no surprises.
What actually drives the price
Four things: page count and content volume, functionality (a form, a booking flow, online payment), who produces the content (your texts and photos, or the agency's), and post-launch maintenance. When comparing quotes, ask about these four separately; the difference between two quotes is usually in scope, not in price.
The hidden cost of the cheap quote
Most rock-bottom offers are a ready-made template with your logo, and the real cost arrives later: the site is registered under the builder's account, so you're locked in; it breaks on mobile; technical SEO was never done. Fixing a cheap site almost always costs more than building it right — we know because fix-it jobs are how many clients find us.
Where you can save
Prepare your own content (photos and texts from you make the job cheaper), cut pages down to real needs (five strong pages beat fifteen thin ones), and defer nice-to-haves. Blogs, extra languages and member areas can be added later — buying them upfront inflates the price and delays launch.
Where you should never save
Three places: domain and site ownership must be YOURS (in writing), mobile compatibility is non-negotiable, and the technical SEO foundation (titles, speed, indexing) must be built in from day one — retrofitting it costs as much as rebuilding. And measurement: if you don't know how many people visit and from where, the site is decoration, not a storefront.
Is a monthly fee normal?
Yes, and usually in your favour — hosting, security updates, backups and small changes have to come from somewhere. The thing to check is what the fee covers, in writing: how many content changes per month, backup frequency, response time. The word "maintenance" alone promises nothing.
Our numbers — in the open
Our website setups come in three tiers: Starter at 9,900 TL (up to 5 pages, mobile-ready, technical SEO foundation included), Business at 17,900 TL (more pages, booking/catalogue modules), Advanced at 29,900 TL (custom features, multilingual). Monthly care is 990, 1,490 and 2,490 TL respectively — the scope is itemized on our site. The site is built entirely under your name; if you ever leave, you take everything with you. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you honestly which tier fits — sometimes the answer is "Starter is enough for now", because a reference is worth more than an upsell.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a website take?
With content ready, a Starter build typically takes 1-2 weeks; larger scopes take longer. The most common delay is content (texts, photos) arriving late.
Who should own the domain and hosting?
You. The domain must be registered under your identity with panel access. Put it in the contract; walk away from anyone who objects.
Template or custom design?
A well-executed template serves most businesses; what matters is mobile behaviour and brand adaptation. Custom design pays off when differentiation itself earns money.
My site is old — renew or rebuild?
If your domain and Google history have value, renew on the same address. Starting over only makes sense if you don't own the site or the technical foundation is rotten.
Do e-commerce sites cost the same?
No — online payment, product management and shipping integrations are a separate job with separate tiers. For catalogue-plus-WhatsApp-orders we also have a leaner middle option.
